"Mike and his team are the best. My son was having and issue with his skates we had bought at a national chain store. Turns out they fit him in skates to big and they were rubbing his heals raw. We are new to hockey so we did not know the difference. Another parent on the team told us to go see Mike at East Coast Hockey. The experience and expertise was above and beyond what we expected. Turns out we had the wrong size and style of skate for my sons feet. His skating has improved and most of all his feet do not hurt."

"Our daughter needed new figure skates and her coach recommend we go see Mike at East Coast Hockey and Skating. She was advancing in her skills so we knew she needed to upgrade her from the second hand skates purchased but we did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on something she would out grow in 6 months. Mike was great in explaining what and why she needed a certain level of skate for what she was learning and doing on the ice. We ended spending more than we wanted but very confident in what we were buying thanks to Mike. It was definitely the correct purchase per her coach"

"Never buy skates online is what I found out the hard way. I just started men league and needed some skates. I saw all these great deals on line so I purchased and pair using the online recommendations. That was a huge mistake! I play at the Gardens Ice House so I stopped in the pro-shop and the guys showed what was wrong with the skates. Turns out skates can be much smaller than your shoes. I bought a 9 going down one size from shoes which is what the web site recommend and I really needed an 8. Will only purchase from East Coast from now on."
